We live in an incredibly busy world, where time and productivity have a synonymous meaning lost in translation. Time and life are interchangeable because when we run out of time, we also run out of life.
Productivity is so often thought of as getting as much done, in as little time as possible. Meanwhile, what if it was this very mindset that actually hindered our productivity?
Lost in translation is the true synonymous meaning of productivity: Attention, deliberateness and energy. But in order to maximize our innermost confluence of the three, what’s actually most important to do so is to take a step back and “slow down”. Fully realizing that the minute we take a moment to relax, is the moment our mental energy and clarity is at its fullest.
That’s where the Reset Zone App comes in.
Not only does it help us become aware of the way that we’re feeling in each given moment, but it also helps us take a step back and relax for a moment when we get caught up in our old and stuck ways of thinking.
Our pace of life is often frantic. Our minds are always busy and we’re constantly projecting our thoughts into “getting things done”, for a future event. In fact, a study from Harvard revealed that our minds wander almost 50% of our entire lives! That’s a crazy amount of our life spent in which we’re merely thinking of things that aren’t right in front of us.
Thus and having said that, taking a moment to just check in with ourselves using the Reset Zone App, can be a total game-changer for becoming more attention, detail and energy-oriented.
The mind is our most valuable and precious resource, through which we experience every single moment of our lives in. But yet, we rarely ever take a moment or two, to check in with ourselves and take care of this precious asset.
The result nonetheless, is that we get stressed out and generally don’t know how to deal with it. We do the opposite of what we should. We bury ourselves in work, grateful for the distraction. We make ourselves feel better by complaining and reinforcing the negative emotions that we’re feeling.
Taking a moment to step back by utilizing Reset Zone can’t change everything that happens in life. But what it can do, is change how we experience it.
By simply utilizing one of the amazing 1 minute videos, we can take a step back and gain insight on a different perspective that things aren’t always as they appear.
Perfection to feel good all the time isn’t possible. But developing the knowledge and self-awareness to realize that we can change how we’re feeling, is. What we practice grows stronger. Our repeated experiences actually shape our brain and strengthen the synaptic connections within it.
From personal experience, I can tell you that managing our attention is one of the most difficult things we can learn how to do. But I also know it’s one of the most important. Not just for our productivity, but for our overall well-being and mentality as well.
Our attention and energy is what drives productivity. The more deliberate we are on a task at hand, the less time we actually have to spend on it because our focus is in it. Ultimately, getting much more done throughout our days.
It kind of sounds counterintuitive. But in reality, I for one have caught myself losing tons of time as a result of having to work backwards. All, because I didn’t bring deliberateness to my work.
Everyone is given the same 24 hours in a day. But how one uses them, makes all the difference. It’s not necessarily about burning yourself out to accomplish all you set out to do. It’s much more about listening to your body and doing the small and daily incremental changes, that contribute to massive results.
This is our time and how we allocate it should reflect that. Taking a moment to step back and align our day-to-day actions with our long term goals, is a crucial aspect to being successful.
But in order to get to that point… We first have to practice. Because as I said earlier, it’s what we practice that grows stronger.
So today and onward, let’s practice being more mindful. Let’s practice observing our emotions with the tools we have at hand, such as Reset Zone.
And most importantly, let’s become more positive, healthy and happier individuals. The power is in our hands.
All the best!
